We think we have found our gift at the “C”.  Yes it is great coffee, but more than that we think we have created a space for community, camaraderie and communication.  And we are giving it away for FREE!!!! Come experience all the free community, camaraderie and communication you can handle.  While you are hear enjoy a coffee, craft beverage, or custom baked good or meal!

 

What is happening this week you ask…

Farmers Markets abound here in South Carolina.  Join us at any of the markets listed below and shop from your friends and neighbor.  Enjoy the free range chicken eggs, antibiotic and hormone free chicken, pork, and beef; find some local produce or seafood.  Shop with local artisans as well. Oh, and of course you will always find the freshest roasted coffee by the cup or the pound, fresh cold pressed Ice Coffee, hand crafted sodas, and house made Kombucha tea at our booth at either of these locations.  Just follow that fabulous smell.

5/18-Wednesday Dining for Women envisions a world where the lives of women and girls  have been transformed and extreme poverty has been reduced because Dining for Women connected people in creative, powerful ways that assure gender equality.

This month we will be learning about and helping Women’s Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Initiative – Shirley will be our presenter
The African People & Wildlife Fund works to empower Maasai women to protect their natural resources for themselves and for future generations, through entrepreneurship and environmentally-friendly small business development. Conservation programs are few and far between in terms of grants awarded by DFW so this program is special. And you will be surprised about the business these women are in.

5/19-Thursday Open Mic Night hosted byFleming Moore 7pm-9:30pm   Come on out and experience something new and exciting every week.  Talented musicians from all over the area come and share their gifts and flair with you the audience. You never know who will show up.

5/20-Friday Brandon Lamar Simmons 7pm-9pm, born and raised in Charleston South Carolina, is a sing/songwriter, producer, and multi instrumentalist. He's played in multiple jazz bands as a trumpet player in his early years, and has played drums in various bands as well. At age 18 he decided to pick up a guitar, take on the microphone and perform as a singer/songwriter. He went on to Atlanta Georgia to study recording engineering and music production and graduate at the Atlanta Institute of Music. Now, he's back in Charleston, gigging around in various projects. The drummer for a local band by the name of "Token Mary", the lead singer for a duo band called "Brandon and the Archer" and also continues to work on his solo music and any other musical opportunities he can get his hands on. 5/21 Saturday Cookies and Canvas 11am-1pm Children love to paint and parents love to see their budding Picasso create a stunning work of art.  Join us on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month.  Tickets are $20 and your child gets all the supplies and instructions they need.  Parents can sit back relax, have a cup of coffee, tea, mimosa or beer while their miniature Monet paints a Masterpiece.

 Butch 7pm-10pmButch has been influenced by the greats, Elvis, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, John Mellencamp, Pearl Jam, Stevie Ray Vaugh, I could go on forever.  Born in to a musical family, he has been singing since he was born. Come out and see an acoustical set that will have you singing along with some old favorites and begging for more of his originals.
